Gawler , SA

Gawler is a commercial centre for the Mid-North districts of South Australia and, increasingly, a dormitory town for Adelaide. The city has some very impressive churches such as the Gawler Uniting Chuch in Todd Street, St Georges Anglican Church within Orleana Square on Cowan Street and St Peter and Pauls Catholic Church on the corner of Cowan Street and Porter Street.
The Gawler Information Centre is located on the corner of Barossa Valley Way and Sturt Highway in the centre of town. It is open Monday - Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays from 10.00am – 4.00pm (Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day).
For trivia buffs, the hit Australian television series ‘McLeod's Daughters’, was shot at ‘Kingsford’, a working property just outside Gawler's north-eastern fringe.
