Yamba ticks all the boxes when it comes to a coastal holiday resort town. It has great beaches, a marina, cafes, a wide river and a lighthouse. Fishing in the area is superb with a choice of rock, beach and estuary fishing or deep sea fishing with boats available for hire or charter. Yamba is especially known for it's prawns and oysters. The CSIRO and Stanford University describe the area as having Australia's 'best climate', an enviable combination of sunny summers and mild winters which the locals love and visitors really enjoy. Yamba is 13 kilometres east of the Pacific Highway.
