Narrandera is an important destination for travellers as it lies on the junction of the Newell and Sturt Highways and it is the gateway to the productive Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. The Narrandera Information Centre is on the Newell Highway on the corner of Bolton Street and adjacent to Narrandera Park. At the Information Centre there is a big guitar that measures nearly 6 metres long by 2 metres high and is a tribute to the interest in country music in the town. Adjacent to The Information Centre is the Tiger Moth Memorial Building which features a DH 82 Tiger Moth plus a comprehensive collection of model airplanes and a range of photographic memorabilia relating to the training school at Narrandera.
