Muswellbrook is on New England Highway (A15)
Muswellbrook is predominantly known for coal mining and horse breeding. Located to the south of the Muswellbrook township are two coal fuelled power stations, Liddell and Bayswater. To get to the Muswellbrook Information Centre, turn west off the New England Highway in the centre of Muswellbrook onto Hill Street. There is a statue of a Blue Heeler on the corner of Hill Street and the New England Highway as well as a blue and yellow information sign.
