National Sheep Dog Trials

Held in March every year at the Hall Showgrounds. The Trial Course is laid out with race, bridge and pen representing the obstacles the sheep dog encounters in his daily work and the team (dog and owner) have 15 minutes to complete the course. Turn east off the Barton Highway, 24 kilometres south of Murrumbateman and 10 kilometres north of the Federal Highway junction, onto . Gladstone Street. Follow this road to the showground which is at the end of this road. .


Murrumbateman Field Day

Held in October each year at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds. It is a popular event which showcases antique tractors and engines and the latest machinery and equipment to successfully run a small farm. There is plenty of entertainment for the whole family with a Side Show Alley for the kids, dancing, bush poetry and shearing demonstrations.

Murrumbateman Moving Feast

Held over the two days of the October Long Weekend each year (sometimes it falls at the end of September). This feast showcases the areas finest food and wine. Spend your weekend roving from winery to winery, indulging in delicious food and wine and taking in the beautiful countryside along the way.
