Mathoura is on Cobb Highway (B75)
To the east of Mathoura, between Echuca-Moama and Deniliquin, and extending towards Tocumwal, there is over 35,000 hectares of State Forest with magnificent River Red Gum's. When combined with the Barmah Forest on the southern side of the river they give a total of 65,000 hectares, the largest river red gum ecosystem in the world. At the Mathoura Visitor Information Centre, admire the original Red Gum craft, the Long Paddock sculpture and ‘The Drover and Horse’ outside the entrance to the Centre.
