Lismore is the commercial centre of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.
The Lismore Information Centre is on the corner of the Bruxner Highway and Molesworth Street at the roundabout just east of the Wilsons River Bridge. Within the Centre there is an interpretive rainforest display featuring a 'find the animals' game and a local Indigenous art display.
For trivia buffs, Lismore is featured in the first verse of the original version of 'I've Been Everywhere' and also mentioned in the Midnight Oil song 'Outside World'.
