Hawks Nest is on the northern side of Port Stephens and is one of the main gateways to the Myall Lakes National Park. It is joined to it's twin town, Tea Gardens, by the ‘Singing Bridge’ which crosses the Myall River. The bridge got it’s name from the musical sounds the railings generate during strong south-westerly winds causing the bridge to act as a wind harp.
