Dorrigo is on Waterfall Way (B78)

Dorrigo sits on a plateau, which is part of the Great Dividing Range. It is approximately 730 metres above sea level and has a population of around 1,000. It receives ample rainfall each year and in February 1954 it was recorded to have received the highest rainfall over 24 hours of 809.2 millimetres breaking all records in New South Wales, thanks to a tropical cyclone from the north.
