Numeralla Folk Festival

Held in January every year (over the Australia Day Long Weekend) around a campfire, in the village of Numeralla. Highlights of this festival are the Bush Dances on Saturday and Sunday nights and the Blackboard Concert, where seasoned professionals and budding artists can chalk their name up on a blackboard to play a couple of songs, recite a poem, spin a yarn or entertain the crowd in any creative way. On the Sunday amble about the Country Markets to pick up a bargain, hear some homespun bluegrass music while enjoying a cuppa. There is free camping and the entertainment is also free.

Turn east off the Monaro Highway, 4 kilometres north of Cooma, onto Polo Flat Road. Turn left at the first intersection just after the railway line onto Numeralla Road. Travel 19 kilometres and you will arrive at the village of Numeralla. Continue until you cross the Numeralla River Bridge then turn left onto Peak View Road which is where all the entertainment happens.
