Gum Bend Lake

OVERNIGHT REST AREA

This is a man made lake and when fill is 1.75 metres deep. In severe drought the lake can dry up. It is a popular spot for water skiing and bird watching and there is a walking track around the lake and another one, which takes you into town. The rest area is at the eastern end of the lake which is a large level area with lots of shady trees.

Facilities include : Covered picnic tables : Barbecues : Camp fires are allowed – when there is no fire ban : Flush toilets – wheelchair accessible. : Water – near amenities block : Hot showers – in amenities block : Children’s playground area : Rubbish bins provided : Dogs are OK – must be on a leash : Suitable for all sized caravans.

Travel west from the William Street/Bathurst Street roundabout in the centre of Condobolin along Bathurst Street, which becomes Gum Bend Road, for 4 kilometres and the lake is on the right.

Wallaroi Creek Rest Area

OVERNIGHT REST AREA

This rest area is beside the creek and has lots of shady trees.

Facilities include : Picnic table : NO barbecues : NO toilets : NO water : Rubbish bins provided : Dogs are OK : Suitable for all sized caravans.

Located on the Condobolin/Wyalong Road, 15 kilometres south of Condobolin and 90 kilometres north of West Wyalong, just south of Wallaroi Creek on the eastern side of the road.
