Broken Hill is an isolated mining city situated at the crossroads of the Barrier Highway and the Silver City Highway. There is a Fruit Fly Check Point at the northern entrance to Broken Hill. For trivia buffs, a lot of the streets in Broken Hill are named after minerals. To get to the Information Centre turn off Crystal Street (Silver City Highway) at the roundabout onto Bromide Street. The Information Centre is 250 metres on the left at the Bromide and Blende Streets roundabout.
