Bombala is on Monaro Highway (B23)

Bombala lies on the banks of the Bombala River and due to the high numbers of platypus found in the rivers and streams, the region is known as ‘Platypus Country’. If you need to access your emails, the Bombala Library can help plus they have public access computers for a small hourly fee. They are at 163 Maybe Street (Monaro Highway) and opening hours are: Wednesdays 11.30am - 4.30pm : Thursdays 1.00pm - 5.00pm : Fridays 8.30am - 1.00pm.

For trivia buffs, there is crater on the planet Mars called Bombala, but has no significance to the township of Bombala.
