Balranald is the last town at the southern end of the Murrumbidgee River before it joins the Murray River. In the park where the Information Centre is (Heritage Park) there is the Old Goal Museum plus picnic tables, barbecues, toilets and a children’s playground. As you enter Balranald from the east, the Information Centre and Heritage Park are 800 metres on the right hand side after crossing the Murrumbidgee River and from the west it is 200 metres past Balranald Road on the left.
