The Barrier Highway runs from Nyngan in the east to the New South Wales / South Australian border in the west at Cockburn and continues through South Australia. The New South Wales section is 636 kilometres long and a 6.40 hour drive. The South Australian section of the Barrier Highway (A32) runs from Cockburn in the north at the New South Wales – South Australia border to the junction of Main Road North (Horricks Highway), 8 kilometres south of Riverton at Giles Corner.
